go native secures carbon neutral status

With 700 properties supplied by renewable energy, The Carbon Neutral Company approve Go Native as "neutral" from the 1st June.

Travel Managers play an important role in matching their company's environmental priorities with travel usage. Fewer flights, increasing use of rail travel and more car rental on as "as needed basis" all contribute to measurable reductions in Carbon emissions.

At this year's ITM seminar on CSR (corporate and social responsibility) we showed how we could make a positive impact on carbon reductions not only by becoming the first UK corporate housing provider to achieve carbon neutral status - but also by moving electricity generation for our property stock to renewable energy sources. In conjunction with The Carbon Neutral company we have put in place a carbon reduction strategy across all our internal operations as well as supporting carbon offsetting initiatives.

As part this drive, we are extremely pleased to have worked with The Carbon Neutral Company and Ecotricity - and are making excellent progress in converting the power supply to our apartments to Ecotricity. So far, over 700 apartments are now powered by renewable wind energy."
