uk's first comprehensive survey of serviced apartments

12th september 06

According to Go Native MD Guy Nixon, serviced apartments have come a long way since they first arrived in the UK at the end of the 1980's. "UK apartments were historically found mainly in London, focused on the high-end sector and were almost always more expensive than hotels. That's all changed in the last three years with investors developing apartments in all major UK cities and the Hotel sector incorporating apartments in new builds and refurbishments. This research will help our corporate clients plan their accommodation strategy with greater confidence and with the ability to control costs more effectively."

Go Native provides an apartment booking service across the UK - in addition to managing over 1000 apartments itself. In the absence of a single view of average prices across the UK, Go Native appointed an independent research company to help compile this comprehensive guide to the sector - with benchmarked pricing for 37 locations from Aberdeen to Plymouth and all points between. It also contrasts the prices of serviced apartments with new services - such as "Leased Apartments" and demonstrates the considerable savings that can be achieved.

The results of Go Native's 2006 UK Serviced Apartments Price Survey will now form the basis of an annual price index showing changes in prices for one and two bedroom serviced apartments across the UK - to request a copy please e-mail simon.darker@gonative.co.uk.
