Independent Traveller

Karen and Richard contacted us in late 2004 with a request. Karen describes the process below:

What did you need?

We were returning to the UK after living in Asia for nine years and were looking for short-term, affordable, all-inclusive, one-bedroom flat rental in central London. We were starting renovations on our own home in London on our return, but were unsure how long this would take to complete, so we needed flexible furnished accommodation for 3-6 months. We also didn't want the hassle of setting up utilities like phone, electricity, TV license etc in a short term let.

How did Go native help?

While we were still in Asia, I found the Go Native website through a Google search of "serviced apartments" in London and found several which looked good to us (via descriptions and excellent pictures). We then called Go Native and Tracey sent us a list of what was available in our price range. We chose a one bedroom apartment in Hosier Lane near mithfield Market and negotiated a weekly price with all basic utilities included for a minimum of three months.

What was the outcome?

The Smithfield apartment worked out really well for us both in proximity for work and nightlife options. Go Native took care of any repairs promptly and the welcome pack of food on our Saturday night arrival from Heathrow was much appreciated. More importantly, we were able to stay in one apartment for five months until our home renovations were completed. We extended our stay several times in that period and the Go Native flexibility meant that we could time our departure from the apartment right down to the last day when our furniture shipment arrived from overseas. I would highly recommend Tracey and the team at Go Native as very friendly, professional and great to work with.
